Having dal for lunch or dinner is always healthy.....be it any kind of it!!! Its high in Carbohydrates, protien , and fiber .....and these are what that make these tiny beautiful things highly nutritious and healthy. Now here is a very quick, simple and a tasty recipe for dal.
1 cup Toor Dal
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
3 red chillies
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 cup thinly sliced tomatoes
a few sprigs of corriander leaves
salt to taste
Cook the dal in a pressure cooker.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and red chillies, once it starts spluttering add the sliced tomatoes, staute till the tomatoes are soft.
Add the chilli powder and the turmeric powder.
Add the cooked dal and salt to the mixture.
Cook it in a medium heat for about 5 - 10 min.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve it hot with rice or chapathy.....happy meal!!!!!
