Chicken Gravy



Ingredients:

1/2 kg Chicken
2 small potatoes( cut into 4 pieces)
1/4 cup onions (thinly sliced)
1 tsp ginger ( chopped)
1 tsp garlic ( chopped)
1 tsp coriander powder
1 1/2 tsp chilly powder
1/4 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tsp vinegar
1/2 tsp all purpose four / maida
1/2 cup milk
1/2 inch cinnamon stick
4-5 cloves
2 cardamom
few curry leaves
salt to taste
oil

Method:
Wash and clean the chicken pieces.
Mix chilly pwdr, coriander pwdr and pepper powder with 1/4 cup water and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan adding, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon.
Add in onions , ginger and garlic and saute until the onions are done.
Now add the soaked powder and mix well, pour in 1 cup water and let it boil.
Add the chicken pieces, vinegar and salt to taste, stir in between.
Once the chicken is half cooked, add in the potatoes, cover and cook until done in a medium flame. ( add enough water for the potatoes to be cooked)
Mix milk with maida (all purpose flour) and add it to the curry with lots of curry leaves and mix well.
Let the curry simmer for another few mins until the gravy has thickend, also check for the salt.
Garnish with curry leaves.
Serve hot with roti, naan , puri or rice.
