Eggs & Mushroom in Coconut Gravy



Sometimes, still knowing that i need to publish a post i totally get short of words.Well, but that doesn't stop me from publishing this post. This curry is what i made a few days ago, its like our comfort food. This is made in different variations using  diff vegetables, i have used Eggs and Mushroom the same way Amma makes it at home.

It has its own flavors, and tempering at last does add in a special taste to the curry.

Egg & Mushroom in Coconut Gravy / Mutta Puli Curry


Ingredients:
4 Eggs ( boiled , and cut in 4 )
9- 10 Button Mushroom ( cut in quaters )
Salt to taste

For grinding
1 cup Grated Coconut
1 tsp Red Chili Powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Jeera / Cumin seeds
1 Shallot

For tempering
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
2-3 Dry Red Chili
Curry leaves
Oil

Method:

Ground everything with the coconut into a very smooth paste.
Heat a Kadai and saute the mushroom for a min or so add in enough water and cook for 2 - 3 mins.
Drain the water and add in the coconut paste + 1 cup water, check for salt and let it simmer and cook.
Once cooked add in the boiled eggs and remove from heat.
Heat oil in a kadai add mustard + chilies + curry leaves and temper the gravy.
Serve hot with rice.
