Tiramisu without Alcohol

Hello my dear friends, i know i went into a hibernation mode just before Christmas and so many things happened in between. We had so many things going around, and i literally found little space to feed my blog baby with the food i made in between. Yeah , i know i cant put the blame on just a certain reason, i plainly started to be lazy even to type out a post, but i kept on photographing the food i made not even being sure whether they would hit the blog posts.
Anyways i know i have to catch up a lot with the yummy food from my other blogger friends, so having Valentines Day around the corner, i can already smell yummy Chocolate everywhere. Even my teeny tiny little girl would be enjoying her share of Valentines Day Celebration at school, well i never knew such a day existed during my childhood , until i reached my 12th standard. Anyways " Love " is not just for Lovers, right ?? Celebrating every single kind of Love in the world, and the best ever being a Mom ( yea i just love it)  !!!

Well, talking of Valentines Day, i felt Tiramisu to be the perfect pick. My friend S had asked me a Tiramisu recipe, well this was pretty long back and i'm happy that it happened at least now ( i'm sorry dear for the delay) :D. Well, i had tried out making Tiramisu like 3 times with different measurements and wasn't happy with the result, this time i followed the instructions on the Lady Finger packet i bought with a few changes and i am happy with the out come. The Mascarpone Cheese i used here is home- made, and ill post the recipe soon. An NON - ALCOHOLIC recipe, and the recipe is from the Sprouts Lady finger packet i used.

Tiramisu without Alcohol

Ingredients:
20 Lady fingers
1 cup Mascarpone Cheese
1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
3/4 cup Sugar
1 tbsp Vanilla essence
1 cup Strong Black Coffee ( cooled )
1/4 cup Cocoa powder
1 tbsp Coffee Powder (opt )

Method:

To make the Zabaglione : Combine egg yolks and sugar in a heat proof bowl and cook on top of a double boiler, over boiling water. Reduce the heat to low and cook for about 10 mins, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and cover with a cling film and refrigerate until cool. While double boiling , do not let the Bowl with the ingredients be in touch with the boiling water, it may make a grainy texture to the yolks.

In a separate bowl whip cream + vanilla to stiff peaks, and keep it aside.
Add in the Mascarpone cheese to the cooled Zabaglione and mix well.
Fold in to the whipped cream.

Take a rectangle or a square glass dish and dip the lady fingers in coffee and layer the bottom and sides of the glass dish. ( OR instead of dipping; layer the Ladyfingers first then spoon in a few tables spoon of Coffee on top. )
Spoon half of the cream filling over the lady fingers. Repeat, coffee dipped lady fingers and again the cream filling.
Cover and refrigerate for 4 hrs or overnight. Just before serving , mix together Cocoa + Coffee Powder and dust on top of the Tiramisu through a sieve.
