Spiced up Flatten Rice flakes / Spiced Poha / Aval

Its a long weekend and most of you must be busy planning on holiday , or even may be in the middle of your vacation, right ?? Well, as of now we do not have any plans. My little one is just recovering from the flu that's around, so a quick visit to any friend's house is a possible thing, or a visit to a near by park may be or even shopping.
Well this post has nothing to do with a weekend plan , but it was made and photographed on a weekend. Weekends are the only days that my husband and myself sit together for a evening cup of tea, so i try my best to serve a snack with the tea.

While visiting our friend N's house , she served us with this Spiced up Poha and we loved it. Back at home mom makes a Poha snack quite similar to this , may be a bit more crispy. Yeah, making this reminded me of her recipe, need to ask her soon about that .

2 Green chilies ( chopped fine )

1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
a handful Peanuts
Curry Leaves

Lemon as needed

Method:

Take Poha in a large bowl and sprinkle water very little by little and mix well, until the poha turns soft, now add salt as needed and mix well again , and set aside until required.

Heat oil in a Kadai and pop Jeera + Curry leaves + ginger + green chili  and saute for a min.
Add in the peanuts and saute for 2 mins, add in the asoafoetida and turmeric.
